Welcome To The AMIN Center

AMIN USA provides avenues for Muslims to express the altruistic teachings of Islam. AMIN has a "5 C" focus:

  • Convert Care - Focus on the unique needs of converts to Islam.
  • Create Social & Sacred Spaces - To facilitate spiritual and social growth.
  • Community Outreach - Through public presentations of Islam.
  • Community Service - Fulfill the altruistic obligations of our religion by serving our local community.
  • Create and Promote - Positive cultural identity

Community Services

"The best of you are those best in service to the children of Adam." _- Prophet Muhammad. AMIN seeks to fulfill the Prophetic legacy of service through various projects. We partner with local organizations (St. Jude's Ronald McDonald House, Mid-South Food Bank, and local community centers) to provide assistance to families throughout the city of Memphis.

Community Outreach

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)? Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. So woe to the worshippers; Who are neglectful of their prayers,Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.

Community Building

AMIN believes that the strength of Islam in America rests on the strength of local communities and families. We hope to build and cement a bond within and between families through religious and social programs, Family Potluck, Iftaars, Khatm program, Quran discussion groups, game days, movies, and social discussions are a few of the programs we use to reach our goals..

Positive Cultural Expression

Wherever Islam goes, it takes on the cultural expression and concerns of the indigenous people. We express American roots through American social expressions (i.e. art festivals, book clubs, board games, poetry slams, and sports parties). These are activities that our culture is familiar with and what we attempt to do at AMIN is provide these activities in a safe moral space.

  • Building an environment for family and community growth. After the Hugs is when the real work begins for Converts.  There are an endless list of questions, concerns, anxietys, social and paradigm shifts that occur once the Takbirs die down and the transition from who your were to who you are looking to become. We made it through it and have created and environment of growth and success for those coming behind us.

Reviving Islam in The American Landscape Every culture has it's nuances and subcultures, history and undercurrents, concens and sensitivities. Our lives are destined to become a part of the American narritave.  AMIN commits to making Islam an agent of increased growth, humanity and progress for America.

  • We Believe In One God, Creator of All Things Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped)” [Al-Baqarah 2:21,22] We Believe Islam is The Solutions to all illnesses both Spiritual and Social Mankind there has come to you a guidance from your Lord and a healing for (the diseases) in your hearts, and for those who believe a guidance and a mercy. (Yunus, 10:57)
